Loose Lips Sink Friendships

A waking dream of a scorching desert world, and underground,
a tiny, patient seed begins to grow without a sound.

Until one day it breaks the earth, a baobab toward the sky.
Yet still a sprout, and soon cut out, and left to wither, die.

But with each killing stroke the ax did shake loose many seeds,
which scattered far and wide to sprout, in turn, like many weeds.

A million worlds were soon infested, doomed to break apart.
A million homes, wasted, divested of a caring heart.

A toxic atmosphere covered the forest in the gloom,
and blinded eyes of men to light from outside of their tomb.

A living death for them and for the ones no longer seen,
the castaways they cast away, on whom they used to lean.

A friendly word against a friend they heeded 'gainst their head.
On such advice made their heart ice and struck the friendship dead.

A broken glass can be repaired and gain its function back,
but what will never disappear's the appearance of the cracks.
It's good to have written something new after so long. I hope that has broken my writer's block. Now for the moral of the story:

Never listen to rumors, gossip, or hearsay, kiddies. Whether it's true or not. Nothing good ever comes of it. I don't, and to this day I can still claim all the friends I've made. That's not to say, though, that some good friendships of mine haven't been hurt by it.

Is this the place where critiques go? Or regular commentsO.o
I am confusedXD

It's a good allegory. I like the glass part at the very end. It's true.
